For Aoife Dakar, seeing is believing—and she's seen some extraordinary things. It's too bad no one else believes that she witnessed a supernatural murder at an outdoor fair. Returning to the scene for proof, Aoife encounters a wise-cracking demon dog—and a gloriously naked man who can shift into a dragon and kiss like a god. Now thrust into a fantastical world that's both exhilarating and terrifying, Aoife is about to learn just how hot a dragon's fire burns.

Kostya has no time for a human woman with endless questions, no matter how gorgeous or tempting she is. He must break the curse that has splintered the dragon clans before more of his kind die. But his powerful attraction to Aoife runs much deeper than the physical—and there may be more to her than even his sharp dragon eyes can see. To survive the coming battle for the fate of his race, he needs a mate of true heart and soul . . .
My Thoughts

I’ve been fan of Katie MacAlister for so long now, I really enjoy her story full of humor, stubborn alpha male and strong women that doesn’t give a Sh*t about their lovers. But definitely, we need to be careful to prize an author too much because maybe it can become too repetitive after a while. Katie has never been one of those and she always gives something different to her books. I enjoy Dragon Fall but I felt that there’s lack of something, I feel like it wasn’t enough.

Dragon Fall tells the story of Kostya and Aoife, two very disturbed people who have experience crazy things in their life (even for dragon standards in the case of Kostya) and are now together in the most bizarre way to faces the world of magical conspiracy. Now the Weyr are destroyed and they both have the mission to get it back together. But it won’t be easy, of course, because plenty of people would be working against them.

The characters were wonderful, as always. We already know Kostya from the Aisling Grey books and all the damage he is but now we got Aoife as well, who is just as courage than the previous mates but something bothers me about her and it was that she accepted too quickly her time with Kostya. I mean, I know that he’s so sweet under his hard features but he’s also kind of little too crazy and I felt that she needed to wait a little to accept all the things that the dragon world offers.

But despite that, I think that she was wonderful and so funny, her way to look the world was hilarious and I spend a great time with her. I also loved that Aisling, Drake and Jim made cameos in the book because they’re always funny, and especially Jim, steal the spotlight all the time.

About the plot, I felt it was really inventive, fresh and new. I like how Katie reinvents the plot each time a new series is presented so we got something different each time. The fact that the weyr is destroyed and the reason why? Is very intriguing, though, I felt kind of lost, even when I re-read the previous books not so long to remember all the details. And I don’t remember a reason why Asmodeus could be implicate to all those things plus, I expect more from the Thalia situation which I still don’t know if it’s connected. So, I think that it lacks of more explanation, I felt that it was too short to feature all the things that need to be explain to give us a full inside of the things that are going on.

In conclusion, I enjoy the book because it was funny, the plot is interesting and the characters are just another master piece from Katie but I felt that it doesn’t make justice to the dragons book we’re used to, and it need it more explanation of the things. I’ll wait for the upcoming Dragon Storm to know what would happen with the B*tch Bee who I think was really horrible (plus, it feature Baltic and Ysolde!).

Will I re-read it?
I think I would, if I read the whole series.
